September 18 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Cumberland Winds Supporters!

We are very excited to announce that the Jazz Project will be performing our annual Guest Artist concert on the 18th of September, 2020, 7:30 PM,  located in the Fellowship Hall at First Baptist Church, Clarksville.  Jamey Simmons, a Middle Tennessee jazz artist, composer, and arranger, will be spotlighted this year.  Jamey will be featured in a number of selections, namely a piece that he composed with a Latin flavor titled “The Fire Within.”  Other arrangements will be “Happy,” “Second Balcony Jump,” and “Nearness of You.”  All in attendance are certain to enjoy favorite standards from the American Songbook, including “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” featuring Derrick Reed on trombone plus “Friend Like Me” with Heath Rives and Bo Clayton.

The Jazz Project will follow Covid-19 guidelines concerning the wearing of masks and physical distancing to ensure a safe environment.  First Baptist Church, Clarksville will provide physically distanced and sanitized seating.  The concert will be in the Fellowship Hall, located at the Children’s Entrance, Hope Building, 412 Commerce Street.

We look forward to seeing you there!
